Hi, I read a bit here about the starvation strategy. It's something I hadn't considered before, though I've always been willing to take the -10 once or twice in a game when necessary. I've been playing a lot of 2 player against the AI on the iOS version. I win almost all the time. After reading about it, I've been trying starvation strategy, and it's not working. I've won some and lost some. Based on what I've read here, I expected to win a lot more easily with it, since so many people have said it's quite powerful, even in 2 player. Can someone explain the right way to play this? I assume that the idea is to take mating hut any time you have the option (which is more than half the turns in 2 player), until you have 10 people. Then get tools whenever you have the option. Take any boats that give multipliers for tools or people. Then just get huge numbers of resources. The question is, where should most of your points be coming from? People have said that a counter to this strategy is to take huts and and the game faster. This seems counter-intuitive, as the more turns a game has, the more -10 points starvation player will get. But as starvation player, taking huts yourself makes the game end quicker as well. So should you be taking huts? If not, then what's the use of having so many resources? Please Help. Thanks ! I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
